While waiting on the platform, I realized that, above the nearest house, we could just see the hilltop where the temple we visited is situated. The train finally arrived and Ian got his boots back on in time. This was a local line so the train only had two cars. But it was fairly empty and we had no trouble finding seats.
According to the guide book that I have. The next place we were going to visit had originally been in a private home very near the station. However, the book had a printed sheet in it that indicated that the statue had been moved to a different location, still in a private home but a bit farther from the station. To get there we followed a wide road away from the station.
We walked for less than 15 minutes before finding the location. We were quite surprised because what we found was a very small building cuddled between a brick home and the sidewalk. We knew it was the correct place because the wall separating the building from the sidewalk had a sign on it. You can just see the sign in the bottom right of the picture.
