Day 7 - along the river

As we crossed the bridge that I showed in the last post, we had this view of the river. The reason we left the main road for this back road was to take the old road over the mountain. There is a new road that follows the bank of the river, but the old road goes right up and over, which is the way the Henro Trail goes when possible.

The next three pictures are from the bridge, looking up the river. I would have like to stay there for a while and enjoy the scenery, but we had to get to the night's lodging so we could not dilly-dally. From the pictures it looks like we were in the middle of nowhere, but along the road there were occasional houses and buildings.

I was not sure what the purpose of this building was, but it was interesting. It could have had a statue or something inside and then again it might have actually been a tool shed or just a shelter from the rain.
