Snow Day

It started snow around 4 p.m. yesterday. I took the following pictures just before 8 a.m. today. The weather forecast keeps changing and extending the snow. They are now saying that it will last until around midnight tonight.

This first picture was taken looking straight out our living room window. The snow is the most that we have had on the ground this winter.
This picture is looking to the right out the same window. I did not take one to the left because all it is is a large parking lot for the shopping center next door.
The last two pictures show the kids walking to the local grade school which is just a few hundred meters past the other end of our apartment. Notice the person riding the bicycle in the last picture. He is hard to see because he got behind a tree during the shutter delay. I kept wondering what he would do if a car came. He is riding in the groove made by the tires of passing cars and trucks - actually not very many because the road does not really go anywhere, except into a small housing area.
