The main building is on the left. The bridge and stairs connect it to a smaller building on the right, which seems to be the administrative center for the temple.
This statue is in front of door into the administrative building. I guess he is sweeping away all of our mental defilements.
These pieces of branch separated the path from the garden. Most of them had moss growing on the top.
This was the back gate to the temple grounds.
I exited the temple and walked down a dirt road. My next goal was Rin'oji, a Shinto shrine that is famous for its garden.
A little ways down the dirt road, I passed a shed containing cleaning and gardening supplies. It was the kind of controlled mess that is typical of this sort of shed.

Shifukuji
Following a path I came to a small shed with a bell tower behind it. The woman is carrying the umbrella to protect herself from the sun, not from rain (it was a beautiful hot day).
A little farther along the path, I got a wonderful view of the bell tower.
Eventually the path arrived at a long walkway with benches on each side. The main temple building was at he far end.
Half way along the walkway, there was a small building with a statue of a Bodhisattva in front of it.
Just before reaching the main building, the walkway was interrupted with a large stone lantern.
I looked in through the door of the main building and saw an incredible gold decoration hanging from the ceiling.
