Continuing along the path, parallel to the edge of the parking lot, Ian and I wondered where the people from the bus were. At the end of the parking lot we found a set of stairs and there was one man climbing up them ahead of us.
We followed him up and the trail turned and presented us with another flight of stairs. However, just past the top of the stairs, we could see the people from the bus, a group of old (about my age) people who were filling the entire width of the path.
We stopped so that I could take another picture of the scenery, hoping that the pause would give the bus riders a chance to move on. The view across the valley was extremely nice and again I wished that the sky were clearer.
The pause did not help at all. The people had not moved an inch. As we reached the top of the stairs and entered the path again, we could see why they were not moving. They were looking at the plants that were growing along the side of the trail.
