Planned Activities

Before leaving home, I had planned to write poetry and sketch every day, but that is proving difficult. I had expected to compose poems while walking, but there many cars and the roads are narrow and winding, so I have to pay attention. Also I meet many other Henro and have to greet or talk with them.

Sketching was to take place during breaks or at temples, but my mind goes blank while I rest and at temples timing and scheduling pressures us to move on quickly.

Even writing a blog entry like this takes me a huge amount of time because I have to enter the text with a number pad. I wish I had a Blackberry like President Obama.
