Ian brought copies of the pictures that he took during our pilgrimage and I will begin posting them here. I probably will not be able to determine exactly where they are without a lot of work, that quite frankly I do not have time to do. I will, however, make whatever comments I can about them.
This first picture is what you could see out of one of the windows in our room in Temple #2, where we stayed on the first night. It was a little Japanese garden that must have been very nice in the summer when the plants were green and flowering.
This is a picture of a Bodhisattva and some other things that were in the corner of the room.
This is still at Temple #2. It is the place where you wash (purify) your hands before entering the grounds proper. We were both fascinated by this because of the dragon carvings. Also the contrast of the red banners and the gray stone was attention grabbing.
This is the dragon spout, which lets out the water.
This is one of the four columns that hold up the roof. Notice the dragon wrapped around it.
