At a shrine

 This is a close up of the toy that was left on the altar. It appears to be Tom, from the Tom and Jerry cartoons, in a barrel. It would be interesting to find out who left it and why, but there is no possibility of that.

 Two more of the protected, sacred trees on the grounds.

A straw shimenawa is tied around this stele, and the characters on the front are the name of a Shinto god, but I do not know how to pronounce the name.
