Along a main road

 This yard is typical of many in Japan. There are a small number of homes all having access to the road via a single driveway.

 This is a restaurant. It is quite large and apparently quite cheap. The kind of place you might stop at for lunch while working. The interesting thing about it was the row of statues along the road side. By the way, the space between the white line and the curb is the sidewalk.

 This is the face of one of the statues. It seems almost Mayan.

 This is apparently a frog, but again I sense a Mayan influence.

Almost home, I found a sauna with the parking lot completely filled. I wondered it these customers were retired people or men who were slipping away from work for a while.
