Going to Kasuga

 I decided to walk to the next town, Kasuga, and look for a shrine that I could see on the map. On the way I saw this unusual sight. A more or less open area with nothing but rocks, grass, and trees.

 I was walking along a main road, only two lanes but with a lot of traffic. The thing that struck me was the number of strange looking buildings. This one is a good example, lots of horizontal lines contrasting with curves.

Look at the building in the back. The roof is definitely unusual.
