I was very lucky. The doors of the shrine were completely open and I could see inside.
The altar contained three mirrors and a little house for the god with green leaves in vases at the sides. The wooden box at the front with the two Chinese characters is a box for offerings of small coins.
Outside there was a large rock with a hollow cut into the top to hold water. This water is used for purifying yourself, usually by rinsing off your hands.
