Our room was more like something that you would get in a commercial hot spring hotel. It was huge and very clean. This picture shows Ian sitting in one of the chairs looking out at the woods outside.
This shows some more of the room. You will note that there are no beds. In a place like this, you sleep on a mattress that is taken out of a closet and placed on the tatami mats just before you go to bed. The only time we had beds were the few times we stayed in a 'business' hotel - this actually means "a no frills" hotel
