Oushuu33Kannon Temples 4-5 Part 5

A little further up the valley, Ian and I came upon a group of people, apparently part of the neighborhood committee, picking up trash along the road. They all greeted us and asked if we were headed for the temple. We said that we were and they wished us luck. There were more cherry blossoms and off to our right there was a large house.
The house became even more impressive as we came up beside it. Although from this angle it is hard to tell, then entire yard was carefully landscaped in the best Japanese tradition.
Just a bit passed the house, we came to the intersection where we would turn right and proceed up into the hills. In addition to the temple that was our goal, there also is a park on the side of the hill. At this point we did not know whether or not we would pass through it, since it was not mark clearly on our map.
As soon as we had turned right, we saw an old woman pushing a four-wheel cart up the hill. She was short and bent over but was moving at a really rapid clip. She went around the corner and disappeared from view and by the time we got to a place where we could see a good distance up t he road, she was gone. We figured that she must have gone into one of the houses.
