A typical rainy season sky at 6:45 a.m. On a clear day you can see three mountain ranges from here. Also the whitish line on the right is the soccer stadium. It is only a kilometer or so away but barely visible.
After a few minutes the clouds thinned but the rain still came down. It was a steady soft rain, the kind that gets you soaked in just a few minutes if you do not have an umbrella.
At the end of the riverside walkway, workmen were unloading equipment to begin repairs on the photography shop. This shop takes and develops photos. I used it the last time I needed passport photos.
In the underpass in front of Miyagi Gakuin U, a main was giving an impromptu concert on a harmonica. He was actually quite good. I think he was actually practicing, enjoying the acoustics of the tunnel, which really improved the sound quality.
The view out the window of the teachers' lounge showed that even from this height the mountains were not visible.
After my classes were over and I was returning home along the riverside walkway, the mountains were still in hiding. The weather forecast was for rain, rain, and more rain, perfect rainy season weather.
