This sign says that the area is used by the Terashima Landscaping Company to grow trees and shrubs.
I finally found a bridge to cross the river. Notice how much of the space is used by the car. This bridge has two way traffic.
From the middle of the bridge I was able to look down on the river. This is still the Nanakita River, the one the flows passed by apartment. It is not very big, which is typical of Japanese rivers, but it does have salmon that spawn up stream from here.
I soon came to a large building and some smaller ones. It was an athletics club. From the number of cars in the parking lot, it seems to be doing a pretty good business.
After passing the athletics club, the area become much less built up.
There were rice paddies and at the ends of longish dirt roads there were large farm houses.
