Happy New Year

As I write this, it is New Year's morning, but I will still be showing Christmas pictures. This is Tomone opening one of her presents. It is a case full of building block-like things. Instead of a single rectangular shape, there are many shapes as well as small connector pieces. This allows you to make hollow 3D shapes of all kinds.
Here is Tomone looking at the instruction booklet. It shows how to make many interesting objects with the set.
This is the decoration in our genkan, the front hall. The two figurines were made by my daughter when she was in grade school many years ago.
Tomone and my wife made cookies together. Tomone made two Anpanman shaped ones. Anpanman is a cartoon character. Anpan is a kind of roll, pan, that is filled with an, sweetened bean paste, and man is the same as the English man
This Tomone and her mother building things with her Christmas present.
