My wife and I have started on 1500 piece jigsaw puzzle. We usually do one or two a year.
This is my study. The air conditioner in the top left is new. The old one stopped working and the room was too cold.l
This is the tatami mat room. There are sliding doors that separate it from the living/dining room, where I am standing, but we removed them and placed them in storage. Behind the low cabinet in the front there is a large sofa that was made in Bali. It is actually big enough for three people. We use it when we watch TV. The easy chair is where I read. There is an adjustable intensity floor lamp behind it.
This is our oven toaster. It is so complicated that you practically need an engineering degree to use it. To make a simple piece of toast, you have to press three buttons, but it does lots of neat things.
This is a necessity in every Japanese home. It is a shoe box. You take your shoes off at the door and wear slippers in the house. The slippers on the right are for guests.
This is the view from the kitchen window. On the other side of the row of trees is a large parking lot for the Seiyu supermarket and department store which is just out of the picture on the left. I frequently look out this glass door, particularly in the morning, to watch the sun come up.
