Shinkyoji continued

A statue of a dragon protecting the grounds from demons
The door to the main hall was open so I was able to see inside. Since this is a Jodo Shinshu temple, the ceremonies that take place here will involve a lot of chanting of mantras. As the Japanese life style changes, more and more temples and shrines are offering chairs for people to sit on, instead of the traditional cushions on the floor.
Turning around I was able to see the mountains as well as much of the grounds.
