Walking home

 On my way home, I passed some men harvesting some sort of citrus fruit.

 Notice the ladder allowing the people from the house at the top of the hill to get down to the lower level where they apparently have a large garden.

This is a public building in which groups can have meetings and people can rent rooms at a very low fee. The town does a lot toward encouraging people to get together and do things, study, voluntary events, that sort of thing.
