At the Sendai Airport

This is a train sitting in the airport station. Recently they have been decorating some of the trains and buses.

This is Tsubasa sitting at the controls of a full scale model train. The penguin is advertising a prepaid card called Suika, which actually means watermelon. The card can be used to pay for tickets at the wickets as you walk through, rather than going to a machine and buying a ticket.
This is a sign place here by a Sendai hotel. In both English and Japanese it asks everybody to pull together for the future. Everywhere you look there are sign encouraging people to get the area back to normal.
Here is Tsubasa at the controls of the model train.
This is the main access road to the airport buildings, which are to the right. This entire area was inundated by the tsunami. I have seen pictures of cars being borne along with a few meters of water between them and the  road. Today everything has been repaired and you would never know that there had been a series of severe tremors and a tsunami.
