More Hachimangu

The buds were getting fat so the trees will soon be in full bloom.
At the back entrance to the grounds, I found a large boulder with plaques on it commemorating the people who contributed to the construction of the buildings and grounds. This construction was probably to replace and expand previous buildings and grounds.
Next door to the shrine is a fire station and on this day they were drying the hoses. They had raised one end to the top of a flag pole and the other colorful ends were at ground level.
