A trip into town 02

 As I walked up the arcade I took pictures of both what was in front of me and some of the stores that line the walkway.

 We have Mister Donut shops all over the city. The store on the right, with the yellow and black sign is a also a coffee shop, but one that also sells sandwiches.

 This orange monstrosity is a bank, believe it or not.

This is the Daiei department store. We used to have one next to our apartment building, but they closed when Daiei essentially gave up trying to do business in the Tohoku region. Daiei decided to keep on Sendai store open and it was going to be the one near us, but the city asked them to keep this one open, because they did not want a large, empty building in the center of town. Notice that in the upper left there is a red torii, however, the vertical columns have been cut off so that they do not interfere with pedestrian traffic.
