Along the road into Sendai

This sushi restaurant, or what was a sushi restaurant, opened just a few years ago amid a huge fanfare. Whenever I walked by it seemed to have customers, but not to be overflowing with them. I do not know whether it was the earthquakes damaging the building or a insufficient number of customers, but it is now closed.
It appears that this is an unused trash collection point. The structure in the background is the first floor parking lot of an old, dilapidated but occupied apartment building.
Even though it is more than 5 months after the quakes, there is still lots of blue tarps covering unrepaired damage. Two of these buildings have obvious problems.
This looks like earthquake damage, but it has looked the same way since I came to Sendai. It is some sort of storage shed.
I love the roofs on these buildings.
This building received enough damage that they are no removing it. I assume that in the near future there will be a new house here.
