This is a playground that was part of the land on which our condo (in the background, my building on the right) built. The ground was granted to the city on the condition that it remain a park.
This is at the end of the levee top walkway. There was a huge crack with a height different of 3 or 4 centimeters at least. Someone has filled in the crack and smoothed out the area.
The crack in the road down to the river is still there. It has not changed much at all in the four plus months since the first quake.
This is in the park at the foot of the above roadway. Here the center of the tiled area has sunk and many of the tiles were broken. Since the weather has gotten warm, weeds are beginning to grow in many of the cracks.
I was really surprised to see this graffiti on the walkway next to the river. I was even more surprised that whoever had written actually managed to spell it correctly.
This is the river opposite the little park and only a hundred meters or so from the above playground. If you blow up the picture to full size, you will be able to see that along the base of the trees there are blue tarps with sand bags on top of them. I assume that this means that the pave path that runs along there is badly cracked. Next week after my classes end, I will have to walk over there and see what happened. I will, of course, take pictures.
