Izumi Chuo Station and festival preparations near home

Across from the station building in Izumi Chuo, I was a man servicing a Vegalta owned vending machine. These machines stand out because they are bright yellow, one of the team colors.
Inside the station building on the level across the large sun deck from Starbucks, there is a Vegalta shop. I bought a fold up cushion to sit on at the games and a couple of other things here. It is a little bit expensive but it supports the team, which loses money most years especially when they are in the second level, J2. At present they are in the top level, J1, and get more money from the league so they have made a profit for the last couple of years.
Returning home along Nanakita River, I found a group of workmen setting up things for the local river festival.
This stand is where the live music will originate and the boring speeches will take place. The sign says Ichinazaka Natsu Matsuri. Ichinazaka is the name of this area. I live in the next area, Takadama-cho. Natsu means summer and matsuri means festival.
This table is covered with a huge pile of chicken pieces. The three people are putting the chunks on sticks and they will be cooked over an open fire and then dipped in a soy sauce based sauce. I love it.
This is the local shrine. You can see the tent they have set up on the grounds. This is where the festival organizers and bigwigs will sit.
