Oushuu33Kannon Temples 4-5 Part 24

As I indicated in my last post, we discovered that temple #5 was not a temple. It was just a small shrine in the yard of a private house. The area was landscaped but altogether it was not much bigger than 10 feet by 10 feet. The front was decorated in the usual fashion and there was a vase of fresh flowers on the flat area. The door was securely locked, however, so all we could see was a picture of the Kannon statue, but this is quite normal. We have seldom seen the actual Kannon.
There was a small brown box in front of the door with a sign on it saying that we should open it.
Once we had taken off the cover, we found completed pages for our books, small photographs of the Kannon statue, and the money that previous visitors had left for the pages.
