Walking around inside the hotel, I found an indoor pool with carp. There was a box where you could buy fish food but it was empty.
This is the view out the window of the room I slept in. We had to leave the rooms and take our luggage to the conference room. As you can see, Akiu is in the beginning of the mountains.

The very last thing on the schedule was a machine that measures concentration. In this picture on of the audience is getting wired up. There is a single sensor that goes in the center of your forehead and a blue ray unit to connect with the main unit.
The main unit is on the left. The object was to get the slide in the middle, on the blue line, to get to the top before the time, represented by the red dots, was up. After the conference, my friend Marc bought one of these and when the weather is a little better I will go to his university to experiment with the equipment.
