This is in the park next to my home. The concrete banking slid about 10 centimeters into the river and left a large gap at the top. This is now under repair. The work crew has prepared a coffer dam so that they can get the area dry.
Here is another view of the work site.
This is at the point where a stream enters the river. An apartment building was constructed at the corner and the path along the river was badly damaged in the quakes. Now plants are starting to spring up in those open spaces.
Apparently the banks of the stream also need to be repaired. Here they are starting to build a temporary road down to the bed of the stream.
See the fence across the road. It completely blocks off what looks like a through road. There is pavement on both sides of the fence. I think that the other side, which is a parking lot, must be private property. To get around you have to take a side road around a group of houses.
This is the back parking lot at the Seiyu next to my buildings, which are out of sight on the left. The orange colored ramp goes up to roof top parking which is no longer used. It is not needed as you can see from this picture. When the building was occupied by the Daiei Department store, they bragged about having 2000 parking spaces and most of them were frequently filled. Now the Seiyu gets very few customers in comparison, but hopefully enough to continue in business.
