Nissoji, a Nichiren Buddhist temple

This temple is near the Kita Sendai train and subway station. Ian and I pass it every time we walk in Shinrin Koen. On this day, after we finished walking and had had coffee and donuts at Mr Donuts, Ian went to work and I decided to explore some of the temples in the area. This picture shows the entrance from the sidewalk. The sign identifies the temple and the sect.
At the top of the stairs, you can see the main building through the gate.
After taking the above picture, I turned around and took this one which shows the area in the direction of the station.
Inside the grounds I found a little shrine, built like a pagoda.
To the left there was another gate, an entrance to a graveyard where some workmen were fixing things up.
To the right there as a rock garden with a tree. The grounds, excluding the graveyard, were very small.
