I went out for a walk along the river, just to get some exercise, but I saw a lot of birds. Here some ducks were looking for lunch.
There was a large white crane fishing on one of the islands in the river.
The trash carried by the river when it flooded last month was still wrapped around the bottom of this berried bush
Another white crane. For some reason there was a lot of them on this day.
The crane was moving through the shallows, looking for something to eat.
The cranes move really slowly when they are fishing. It is very relaxing to stand, or sit, and watch them.
There again I found stuff carried by the river but this time it was up in the trees, about chest high.
I walked around the inside of Nanakita Park and there was just enough breeze that this sculpture was moving. It is much more impressive when it is constantly moving in unexpected ways than when it is just sitting there.
