Almost to Izumi Chuo

Most of the roads in this area have trees planted in open spots on the sidewalks. Here along with a lichen covered tree, there were some very pretty flowers.
Back at the beginning of the summer, I showed pictures of a woman planting this rice. It is now nearly ready for harvest.
Although on a main road with lots of traffic, this must be a fairly quite place to live. The area of heavy vegetation must block out most of the sound. It also looks like a pretty big house, by Japanese standards, anyway.
A little further on and on the other side of the road there is a large area of terraced rice paddies, again almost ready for harvest. If I had taken my usual road home from Parktown, I would have been walking along the ridge line in the distances, on the other side of the large building.
