Snow in Niigata

 Another view of the cafeteria.
 The building on the left is the covered hallway that leads from the main building to the cafeteria.
 As you can see in this picture, it is covered in snow.
 There are big blobs of snow everywhere.
 This is the building, the Research Institute, where my office is located. It is on the third floor in the middle of the right side. Notice how someone has shoveled the snow off the fronts of the big blobs of snow over the entrance.
When it is not snow, it is truly beautiful here.

 One of the cleaning staff walking from the Research Institute to the main building. As you can see, the snow is well over her head. Also the line of dots in the middle of the path are the sprinkler heads for the system that removes the snow.
I found this bug trapped between the screen and the window. I assume that it has been there all winter.
