Earthquake Diary 71

This is a view of the neighborhood Jodo Shinshi temple, taken from the bridge. If you enlarge the picture by clicking on it, you should be able to see the fallen grave stones.
This a new pedestrian bridge that was made at the same time as the bridge. It had no damage at all. I very much appreciated them building this, because it allows me to walk to Nanakita Koen without having to leave the riverside.
This the photographer's shop near our home. It was completely rebuilt just a couple of years ago.
The house in the right hand background belongs to a man I call the Rich Guy. He used to own most of the land around here and still owns much of it. We all commented on how solid the construction was and how much it must have cost him when he built it a few years ago. As far as I can tell the was absolutely no damage to the outside and there was no damage or mess visible through the windows. I guess you can say that it was money well spent.
These two trees mark the entrance to the Rich Guy's driveway. My condo is visible on the left. The apartments on the right belong to the Rich Guy, one of the reasons he is rich.
Tis is the four story apartment building next to our complex. They lost water and this is one of the places where they had to dig to get it flowing again.
