Earthquake Diary 14

I shot this through the window of the supermarket. It is an area for eating things that you buy. The supermarket itself sells box lunches and there is a Baskin Robins ice cream shop and machines that sell noodles and other light prepackaged meals. Notice that a lot of stuff has fallen from the ceiling. I could not see any water but we were told that inside the supermarket (beyond the far wall) there was a lot of water damage.
This is a broken window in a spaghetti restaurant in the front of the same building. Actually the place used to be a thriving shopping center but the main supermarket closed. Another company came in after about six months but the place is poorly laid out and business has been steadily decreasing. We do not expect it to open again. Hopefully some other company will set up shop, but I am not very optimistic.
This is along the river at the point where the path rejoins the actual road.
I walked in the other direction and found no damage along the riverbank. My apartment is off to the right about 500 meters away. I then went up onto the road at the top of this part of the levee. Here I found some damage.
A little more and these propane gas tanks would have broken the connection hoses and probably started a fire.
It looked like the entire levee moved a few centimeters toward the river, taking everything, including the road, with it. You can see how the weak spots in the asphalt separated.
This house had lost a lot of its tile roof.
And this house had most of the tile roof on the ground in the driveway. I am glad no one was under it when it fell.
